FINE LIMP HAIR
Poor baby! Your fine, limp hair is unfortunate, but I understand completely. You're are not alone. I have the same problem. The truth is that I have learned how to turn this situation into a gift with beautiful styles made just for you.
So, if you have fine, limp hair, please come in and discuss it with me. I will be delighted to make recommendations for haircutting and coloring techniques that will add volume and movement to make the most of your situation.
Haircutting options:
- Precision cuts that build strong perimeters to create appearance of thickness.
- Layering techniques that make the hair seem lighter in weight and help to give the hair movement
- Delicate texturizing to create a support system to give your hair lift.
- Dry, French cutting techniques finish the over-all look by blending ends to avoid the appearance of choppy edges. This technique can also be used to produce blunt ends so the hair looks thicker and piecier.
Highlighting/Lowlighting Techniques:
- These techniques can produce real volume in the hair because the process actually makes the hair appear larger in circumference. It creates the look of dimension which in turn gives the hair the illusion of thickness.
- Some clients prefer smaller, finer weaves that look more natural, especially as they grow out.
- If your hair is thin, you may desire a more piecey appearance. I will show you photos.
- Highlights can be bold and really noticeable, or subtle and sophisticated.
- Lowlights can be added for at least two good reasons:
(1) To give hair more dimension and
(2) To add back in too excessively highlighted hair for a more natural look
Single Process Hair-Color:
- Sometimes all over color is needed due to non-pigmented (gray) hair.
- The good thing about all over color (among other things) is that it actually creates thickness as a by product of the process.
Products:
- Choosing the right products is extremely important for managing your fine, limp hair. I will help you find the best and most appropriate products for your hair.
- If we do not carry the line of products I suggest, I will tell you where you can get them and show you how to use them.
Styling:
- I will take the time to show you how to style your hair. If after the service, you go home and cannot reproduce the style, I will give you a complimentary styling session.
Don't forget, we will always have an in depth consultation before starting any service.
