Powering Start-ups To The Stars: CodeLauch Accelerator

Starting a business, any business, is tough. It takes an iron will and focus to see a business dream become reality. Thankfully, there are organizations like CodeLaunch powering start-ups.

On November 17, 2021, the finalists in the 2021 DFW CodeLauch Accelerator competition took center stage. The businesses pitched their concepts to a 4-judge panel and the in-person audience. All of this took place in Frisco, Texas at the Comerica Center.

The 2021 DFW CodeLaunch marked the 10th running of the competition and the 11th overall. Some of the problems being solved came from unique places like the hairstyling and home living. As well, other businesses like auto and health were competing.

Beyond the concept pitch is the mobile software built to support the business concept. Development shops, like Improving Enterprises and Dialexa, compete head-to-head. Over 24-hours they build working solutions to solve a business problem.

As well, local businesses were invited to connect with the audience. They talked about their products and services as part of the post-competition exhibition. Overall, it was a unique event to showcase innovative efforts.

The in Person Experience

This was my first CodeLaunch event. I didn’t know what to expect, except excitement. Excitement was on display, in full force!

As a result, I could understand why CodeLaunch is a growing success. The winners of the first Atlanta competition took the stage at the closing to share their story. They explained how they had followed-up the Atlanta victory with two more wins!

Between the smoke, lights, and confetti, is the substance of dreams becoming reality. CodeLauch is a vehicle powering start-ups toward profit.

Which Brings Me to this Point

None of the competitors loose!

By that I mean, CodeLauch doesn’t charge or claim equity to compete. I have never heard of a business accelerator, let alone a business competition, being not for profit. In my opinion, this is what sets CodeLaunch apart.

Since this is a zero risk experience, it is a great avenue to bring life to a concept. Think about it. There is a problem to solve and you have a way to fix it. Start with CodeLaunch to get it moving.

Because the competition is zero risk and all reward, it should be an early stop on the business journey.
